Pulling all that you learn over the course of a week at Detailing Success together gives you the credentials and certifications you NEED as a professional detailer and will most definitely increase your profits. When students finish our Advanced 5-Day Training program, they will have EARNED a number of credentials and certifications having finished a comprehensive and rigorous refining process of their detailing skills, business acumen, understanding of sales and marketing, and more. 


Seven Total Certificates Included

Included in your training are SEVEN total certificates you receive, and you will also get the opportunity to take the test to be an IDA Certified Detailer (CD), take the IDA Skills Validated (SV) test, AND the IDA Marine Certified (MC) test! This is extremely unique to our Big Bear, California training center, as it furthers our mission to help you develop far more than just your skills as an auto detailer, paint correction professional, or ceramic coating installation expert.

Questions About Your IDA Testing? Here Are Some Answers!

  • What does the Certified Detailer test look like?

    The test to receive your IDA CV consists of 10 separate exams that feature multiple choice and true-or-false questions. You must pass all 10 exams with a score of 80% or higher in order to receive your IDA CV. You get the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to pass this series of exams during your Advanced 5-Day Training program.

  • How does the Skills Validated test differ from the rest?

    The IDA SV test is an actual hands-on test where you as a professional detailer demonstrate your refined skills in what you have learned here at Detailing Success in a scenario-type exam. Think of this as the “behind-the-wheel” portion of achieving your credentials as an automotive detailing expert!

  • How do I maintain these credentials I have earned?

    For your IDA SV credential, you will need to perform at least eight hours of continuing detailing education each year to keep current in the industry. After you complete all of your training with Renny Doyle and take your IDA testing, you can then add “CD-SV” after your name, in your business’s marketing materials, and more, which will amplify your credibility.
